Armstrong is a city within the Argentina federal system, located in the southwest of the province of Santa Fe. It has 10,411 inhabitants and it is located 214 km (133 mi) from the provincial capital Santa Fe, 80 km (50 mi) west of Rosario and 20 km (12 mi) from Cañada de Gómez, on National Route 9 near the intersection with National Route 178.
Tourism is not as developed as it could be, given the large offer of naturalistic and cultural heritage in Santa Fe and in Parana Region. This situation is generalized in the entire country and this is why the president of Argentina, has announced a new tourism development plan for the period between 2016 and 2019. Through the Argentina tourism development plan a minimum of 300,000 new jobs will be created by 2020, with a direct investment of 11.7 billion pesos.
Armstrong City is mainly an agricultural and industrial area.
Local youth is very enterprising and resourceful, always willing to explore new areas of work.
During the last four years, young people under 30 from the Municipality, have formed many support and local action groups.
Within the Municipality there is a youth cabinet, which is dedicated to promoting and accompanying projects and ideas that encompass the youth of the city.
Within its own competences, the Municipality has strengthen its connection with territory and has the main aim of overcoming the economical crisis, fostering youth employment and promoting territorial development.
Its participation in European Programs promoting Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices in the field of youth is strategic in order to achieve its internal goals
